Ric Mangum, AIA, joins HMC Architects of Ontario, Calif., as the firm’s regional management principal for Northern California. A 38-year veteran of the architectural market, Mangum most recently served as president and CEO of TBP Architecture in Concord, Calif. HMC Architects also recently promoted Chris Taylor, AIA, LEED AP, from chief marketing officer to chief practice officer.
Birdsall Services Group, an engineering and consulting firm in Sea Girt, N.J., hired Robert J. Curley, PE, PP, and Anthony DiLodovico as vice president of land development. Curley has more than 32 years of private development experience and has supervised the construction of more than 500 subdivisions and site plans. DiLodovico has expertise in regulatory compliance for programs, including water, air, solid waste, planning, land use and other areas.
Clifford Snyder joined international design firm HKS’ education group as vice president and strategic campus/facilities planner. He has more than 30 years of experience serving client needs in higher education and other markets.
CSArch Architecture Construction and Management, an Albany, N.Y.-based firm specializing in K-12 and higher education projects, named James T. Powers, AIA, as director of development for its Hudson Valley and Long Island markets. He currently leads the firm’s expansion on Long Island from a recently opened office in Melville, N.Y.
Patrick Fiel, public safety advisor at ADT Security Systems, has joined School Construction News as an online and in print contributor in the field.
KI named Amy Kiefer as vice president of education. Kiefer previously held various branding and marketing positions with Kimberly Clark and most recently served as global segment director for specialty growth at Appleton Papers.
McDonald, Souter & Paz, a Los Angeles firm specializing in institutional and educational design, hired Laura O’Conner, LEED AP, as project manager. She is currently managing a consolidation project for the Los Angeles County Office of Education and a small learning communities project for Garfield High School.
KI, a furniture manufacturer based in Green Bay,Wis., named Amy Fitzgerald district sales manager for theMid-Atlantic regions. She has 23 years of experience in the commercial furniture industry and will oversee the opening of the company’sWashington, D.C., office.
Bredford Manufacturing Inc., a Chicago based manufacturer of furniture products, named Chris Petrick chief executive officer. Petrick joined the company in 1991 and formerly served as director of sales and director of marketing.
Erik Johnson, P.E., joined the mechanical engineering group at Kingscott Associates, aMichiganbased firm. Johnson has six years of mechanical design experience. He is currently working with Bridgman Public Schools and DeWitt Public Schools in Michigan.
