Dining at Wernhir
We believe in feeding our visitors well!
We use locally sourced produce to ensure that you get fresh ingredients bursting with Welsh countryside flavour. The breakfast is freshly cooked for the time you specify. Continental Breakfast consists of cereals, toast, juice, yoghurt, prunes, grapefruit, fresh fruit variety (depending on season) etc.
Monica Fairclough has over 30 years experience of running her very successful Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast business. Monica was awarded 4 stars in 2009, and holds a Food and Hygiene Certificate. We endeavour to provide best possible breakfast and minimise food miles. The eggs are bought from a free range farm ½ mile up the road. The bacon comes from Bob the butcher in Rhayader. Tomatoes and mushrooms are bought from the local market in Llandrindod Wells. The sausages are delivered by Hipkins George in Newtown.
We believe that a good hearty breakfast ensures a good start to the day. We try our best to cater for all our visitors needs and provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten free breakfasts upon request. Visitors who wish to have our full welsh farm house breakfast can have the continental breakfast as a “starter”. We believe in feeding our visitors well ~ to give you a good start to your day.
Full Welsh Farmhouse Breakfast Selection from the grill consists of: Fried egg, grilled bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, fried mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread. We do not use a deep fat frier.
There are several good pubs, restaurants and take-aways not far away to cater for your evening meals.
