The Festival, held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, includes classes for conventional and rare breed livestock, a Green Horizons & Sustainable Living Exhibition, a vintage machinery display, a Premier Open Dog Show with over 1000 entries, and a Folk Dance Festival.
Displays in the Floral Hall together with a wide range of garden, agricultural, food and craft stands and a full programme of family entertainment, make up the winning formula of the event. Visitors can also listen in a number of talks and participate in question and answer sessions on a variety of smallholding, horticultural, environmental and countryside issues.
The Royal Welsh Show provides something to interest everyone through its kaleidoscopic range of activities. These include forestry, horticulture, crafts, countryside sports, Sports Village and a 12 hour programme of exciting entertainment that continues throughout each of the four days of the event.
Everything at the Royal Welsh Show is designed to cater for visitors. There is a covered grandstand for almost 4000 people, restaurants and bars, leisure areas, an amazing variety of exhibitions, and a 12 hour programme of entertainment. Once inside the showground you can participate in an unforgettable day of continuous leisure and pleasure.
